LOG CABINS for a range of uses.
The benefits of a
TAVISTOCK WOODLAND SAWMILL LOG CABIN are most importantly that
we (and we are the only known company) use
TANALISED (pressure treated) timber.
This means that no one has to spray or paint annually and that it will last many
more years than untreated/sprayed timber. Secondly we use extra
heavy duty logs of
for example 150mm x 100mm (6" x 4") so these are truly
HEAVY-DUTY.
Note: All these products need a
LEVEL concrete base. Must be 50mm less, in both
width and length, than the building. This allows the walls to come down over
the base.

Exterior Walls
Planed tanalised Redwood
Ex. 150mm x 100mm, interlocking with two tongues and two grooves
on each log.
Double sealed with silicone on both inner and outer T&Gs.
Metal and timber dowels running through all logs from ceiling to floor.
DPC to bottom of walls.
Floor
Tanalised joists ex 150mm x 75mm
Plywood vermin seal sheets
100mm Kingspan insulation (or similar)
Tongue and groove floor boards ex 28mm thick

Tanalised tongue and groove 'V' jointed ex 19mm thick to ceiling
GLULAM purlins and ridge beams (which gives a clear span to the ceiling)

On 5.0m x 4.0m two windows to the front and two to the side. Two locks on each window.
